      Add New project & Add new plan should be added via Enter command. or, the green check mark button should be more accessible & visible.

      Passwords restrictions should be more lax (at least in the beginning). Currently it only accepts exact 8 Characters. Most people like no restriction on length of Passwords as long they have all conditions such as (special character, a number, a cap etc.)

        Ok I will check this out. For me, I could register with >8 length. But anyway we are working to streamline login etc

      The Template import loads all jumbled. It should look more networked, & more user friendly.

      It sounds a user friendly app to me. However, it needs time to get well familiar with. A “Help” or “Introduction” is required for users. Moreover, I would recommend a colorful background for pages.

      – Probability is showing as a number between 0-1, a more straightforward approach is to show it as a % so the use knew the sum should be 100%
      – The pdf version of Level one is generated in black-white.

        Export of Gantt is now fixed so colors are not lost.

      – When press Start… under probabilistic, a message box in case “there are already ranges specified in the model for some/all activities” would be useful to ensure it doesn’t overwrite the existing data
      – When the “Duration ” checkbox (under deterministic) is removed, the “Criticality” checkbox (under Probabilistic) is not working.
      – For all checkboxes under probabilistic, using a different color for showing the data on the network so it stands out
      – Some of the duration data is showing 10 digits after point ( 1.6500000000001 Months)

      Is it possible to import a project from MS Project or Primavera?

        Hi Alex – not yet but it is certainly on the radar screen. Actarra is designed for high-level planning so I’d probably limit it to say <50-100 activities. In any case, I have added it to the ‘request register’, and thanks for testing Actarra.

        To echo was Morteza said, giving users the “option” to choose a distribution “type” [ TriGen, TriDist, Discrete, UniformDist..] for each activity seems to be a good add.

        Understood. I would start slowly and add easy things first (trigen, triangular, uniform, discrete. All of these are simple – getting into others beta etc gets more complicated. Right now it is trigen or discrete, depending on whether youve specified probs

      Hi, I am trying to get more familiar with this application. So far, I am excited to find a high level planning application.
      Is it possible to break down an activity to lower levels? Even in high level of planning, sometimes I need to break an activity down to a lower level. Is there any feature for providing a WBS?

      I have one comment as well. It is my personal impression only. The colors of tabs and combination of colors do not appeal to me. I believe the colors should be changed to be as professional as the other features of the application are.

      Moreover, visually there are some points that draw my attention. For example, the arrows are not getting well adjusted between activities. Font sizes cannot get automatically adjusted with the activity box size.

      Gantt chard area should have curtain feature just like primavera to show restrictions such as seasonality

      Gantt chart area should also have area & boxes (arrow, checkbox, textbox etc.) to add notes…customized data illustration on top of software provided information…

      As a planner/project manager , I’ve found this software very user friendly and simple. Here are my comments :
      1-I’d prefer to see a timeline above the flowchart to track both activity and its timeline at the same time.
      2- Would be easier for user to put all project’s risk in a log then allocate the risk to activity from the list .
      3- Is it possible to show the graph in 2D or 3D and open multiple graphs in one phage ?
      4- Good to add ability to import from Ms project or P6

        Re your suggestions…..

        1-I’d prefer to see a timeline above the flowchart to track both activity and its timeline at the same time.
        * Understood, am working on at least an option for organizing things with timeline shown on bubble chart

        2- Would be easier for user to put all project’s risk in a log then allocate the risk to activity from the list .
        * Likely to add an import feature to bring in a list of project risks from excel, and then you point them to what they impact.

        3- Is it possible to show the graph in 2D or 3D and open multiple graphs in one phage ?
        * Not right now; certainly 3D graph options would be quite easy to add so will look into that. I’ll check re multiple graphs – shouldn’t be too hard to do just have to figure out priority level

        4- Good to add ability to import from Ms project or P6
        * Working right now on Export to P6. Import — can be a little more complicated because deciding how to treat the numerous calendar and other options in p6 that are beyond Actarra scope. Would not be hard to add importing the basic activities and links, so this is under evaluation….

        Double click on a link arrow and you will get a dialog box allowing for SS, FF links as well as lags.

        You raise a good idea; what we will probably do is just allow that input to be a dropdown list of previously entered categories (or create a new one) – that way you could select from existing list…

      when you link two activities together, the successor activity’s dates wont be adjusted

      is there a way to select different calendar? it would be helpful if there is ability to create custom calendars and select for each activity

        Not currently; tool is focused on Level 1 planning at this point, however eventually of course calendar options may be added.

      when I chose a date for “Start No Earlier Than…”, it will fix that date as end date instead of start date

      it would be helpful if there is a Excel spreadsheet templet so user just fill out that and then import it to the software with field like “logics”, “Lags”, “Constraints”, etc.

      alo an option to to select the category and then it shows only those activities in that category only. For example; select the “Construction” and then it only shows the construction activities
